Shell Spirax S2 G (GL-4)
Shell Spirax S2 G 140 is a high-quality gear oil formulated for manual transmissions and gear sets. It meets the API GL-4 specification (suitable for moderate extreme pressure conditions) and contains special additives that help protect gears against wear, rust, and oxidation. It’s typically used in manual gearboxes of motorcycles, cars, and light commercial vehicles, and in some rear axle applications (but not for heavy-duty hypoid axles).
Shell Spirax S2 G 80W‑90 — A SAE 80W-90 API GL-4 gear/transmission oil formulated with multifunctional additives to provide reliable lubrication and anti-wear protection in manual gearboxes and lightly loaded rear axles under moderate pressure conditions. It’s ideal for synchromesh transmissions and gearbox applications in passenger cars, motorcycles, and light commercial vehicles.
Shell Spirax S2 G 90 — A SAE 90 API GL-4 monograde gear oil designed to lubricate manual transmissions, lightly loaded rear axles and gear sets, offering good anti-wear, anti-rust and oxidation stability for medium-severity automotive drive train applications. It helps ensure smooth shifting and dependable protection where GL-4 performance is specified.
